Thoughtfully Gifted: The Easter Surprise

Thoughtfully Gifted: The Easter Surprise | Thoughtfully Handmade

It's a week before the annual Zheng Easter party, and Steven is having trouble coming up with a gift idea. You see, every year, the Zheng Easter party is held at his brother's house and every year Steven brings the same gift for the host- chocolate.

Steven has always been horrible at gift giving and this holiday is no exception. Plus, he doesn't know his brother that well because they’ve grown apart over the years. Steven wants to give his brother something special this year, but what will he give?

After a night of furious Pinterest and Instagram scrolling, Steven comes across this picture on Instagram:

Eggcelent Surprise | handmade easter card | lilac purple card with 3 eggs in brown basket, sentiment: happy easter | Thoughtfully Handmade

It’s perfect! The card has an Easter basket full of eggs, which has always been a pleasant memory for the two brothers. It's handmade, which gives the card a personal touch. And Steven can write a thoughtful message inside!

Going to the shop’s Instagram profile, he realizes that there is a birthday sale happening. Seizing this excellent opportunity, Steven immediately heads over to their website and makes the purchase.

A couple of days later, the card arrived in the mail. He opens up the package and sits down at his desk to write his message.

On the day of the Zheng Easter party, Steven gives his gift to his brother. His brother started to tear up! He pulls Steven into a hug, and they both walked towards the back yard and joined in on the Easter egg hunt. Little did Steven know, this would be the start of a closer relationship between his brother and him!
