It’s a week before Father’s Day, and Melissa is stumped. Her husband, Levi, has been a rock star lately- taking the kids to school, cooking and cleaning while Melissa is finishing up her Ph.D. thesis. She wanted to do something special on Father’s Day to thank him.
Melissa knew that Levi loves rollercoasters and Disney, so she planned to surprise him with tickets to Disney World for their summer vacation. The kids are also old enough to remember but young enough to still experience the magic that is Disney, so it’s the perfect opportunity.
The only problem is that Melissa had nothing to put the tickets in. She didn’t want to just throw them into an envelope and call it a day. No, she wanted to make her gift even more special.
Melissa suddenly had an epiphany: a Father’s Day card! She can slide the tickets inside the card and write a thoughtful message inside to Levi, telling him how much she appreciated his help.
But another problem arose. Melissa didn’t want just any dollar store card, she wanted a handmade one. She thought about going on Etsy and ordering one online, but she was afraid that it won’t come in time.
Panicked, Melissa didn’t know what to do. Suddenly, she remembered that there was a farmers market happening the next day. She hoped that there would be a handmade card vendor there.
The next day arrives, and Melissa heads to her farmers market. She wanders around for a bit before spotting a sign that said: “Father’s Day cards here.” Perfect!
Melissa hurries over to the stall and sees this adorable card:
It’s gorgeous! Melissa immediately knew that it was the card for Levi. She bought one and also purchased another Father’s Day card for her dad.
Fast forward to Father’s Day and Levi was thrilled to receive his gift. Crisis averted!
