1. Beauty Products
When you need to give a thank you gift, always consider the likes and dislikes of the recipient. If they have hair or a body, then the shampoo, conditioner and felted soap bars from After the Rain YYC is the way to go! The owner, Nicole, creates healing gemstone jewelry and natural products for living an eco-friendly and toxin-free life. However, I'm going to be focusing on the latter half of her business today.
As a former Naturopathic Doctor, Nicole combines her formal education with creativity to create products that actually help the user live their best life. Each shampoo and conditioner bar is formulated to target different hair types and their needs. Nicole only uses natural ingredients like argan oil, aloe and plant keratin and scented with essential oils. The result is healthy and shiny hair with no plastic packaging involved!
Nicole's wool felted soaps start with a natural soap handmade in-house. It's then covered and felted with 100% Canadian wool, which acts as a gentle exfoliator. Just run the soap under the water, gently squeeze it to start the lather and then use it as usual!
Also, a portion of all sales is donated to Kids Cancer Care, who is dedicated to helping youth and their families affected by cancer. Any bar would be an excellent thank you gift, especially for bridesmaids or in event swag bags! To purchase, visit After the Rain YYC's website or Instagram page.
If you're hosting any home-related or mental health event, handmade incense from Incense Republic is the way to go! Felicia, the owner, makes all of her products by hand because it's the only way to get that perfect scent. Her incense is made with only the highest quality perfumes and essential oils and is naturally scented.
Can you believe all of her custom scents are complex, hand-blended and chemical-free? After hand-dipping the sticks in the coating that contains the scent, it's then cured for 10-14 days. Felicia's incense lasts longer than the stuff you find in-store because it's not chemical-based.
Incense is typically used to lift prayers, ward off the bad and invite the good. You can make this thank you gift super personal by picking a scent to suit your recipient's space. However, if you are hosting an event and using this for a swag bag goodie, you might want to let event-goers pick their own incense for their bag.
In each package, you receive 20 sticks in a plastic sleeve and then boxed to keep the scents as fresh as possible. Felicia puts her heart and soul into making each and every stick! To buy, visit Incense Republic's website. Don't forget to visit them on Instagram to get updates on new scents!
3. Hand-sculpted Charms
These cute polymer clay charms by Chloe from Pixie Cove Gifts make for the perfect thank you gift! Only starting a few months ago, Chloe makes cute charms, jewelry and figurines out of clay for everyone to enjoy. She loves using sparkles and bright colours in her art!
Perfect as party favours, each item is made to order and hand-created. You can also customize what type of clasp is attached to the charm to fit your needs. All of Chloe's designs are adorable! I especially love her octopus creations.
Each charm is relatively small, with the largest being around an inch or two in size. Chloe uses high-quality clay and embellishments for her creations. For some of her pieces, she will combine different colours of clay together to achieve the perfect one.
4. Handmade Accessories
If your gift recipient loves to accessorize, KimyeCo is the place to go! Since 2015, the owner, Kim, and her mom handmakes jewelry for any occasion at great prices. They're located in the Montreal area but can deliver throughout the world.
Kim uses the most refined materials in her creations and handcrafted with care and passion. Her hair accessories would make for great bridal party thank you gifts. If you're hosting a beauty- or fashion-related event, these hair clips would be great for that as well!
Kim's handmade bracelets would be a nice thank you gift for a close friend or family member. Perhaps, to thank them for supporting you through a rough time. Since Kim uses handmade beads, some bracelets will look slightly different in real life than in photos. But, I think this adds to the magic of handmade goods!
5. Thank You Card
I started Thoughtfully Handmade with a mission to help others give joy. Handmade cards are a fantastic way to spread gratitude and positivity!
Thank you cards are a great option if you need to thank clients. It adds a personal touch to the business transaction and leaves a good impression, which can translate to repeat customers and referrals! All cards at Thoughtfully Handmade are handmade by Yandy (that's me!) and blank inside so you can write a personal, thoughtful message.
Alternatively, you can pair it with any of the fantastic gift ideas that I mentioned above. It’s a small gesture that can bring a lot of joy to people’s lives. My handmade cards are unique- all of my designs are entered around pattern paper, and I only produce 6-8 cards for each design. Once they’re gone, they’re gone! If you’re stuck on what to write, I have a free list of 100+ puns and sentiments to kickstart your creativity!
By purchasing a card from me, you're also donating ten cents to Seniors With Skills! Don't hesitate and click the images to buy. Also, visit my Instagram page for updates and behind the scenes content!
I hope you got inspired by these gift ideas! If you need to give a thank you gift for a dinner party host or hostess, I actually have a separate gift guide for that!
